7. Making the life-size prototype

We made the life-size prototype with the hard material that we found in the textile Werkstatt. Also, we Placed the silicon tubes on top of it, so that we could shed the light through it. We also wanted to check whether the lights would be working with the tubes well, so we tried hard to fix the 

Also, we decided to make the demonstration of the tentacles in blender, so that we can show how the final prototype would look like. The tentacles would move and glow in the dark once the voice is heard. The sensor in the arduino would detect the voice pitch and react with the light.

Also, we tried to decide a context to our prototype, and got inspired my the artist Vitas and the movie ‘The 5th element’. That’s because we wanted this costume to be special for the singer to feel about the way she is performing like a sea anemone in the opera ‘Oceana’. So the direction we had was pointing to that direction.

However, we had the mentoring that maybe the wearable is too shy, as it is not big enough. We decided to try using different material for the prototype, and we tried to make the prototype bigger. That means we had to start with the new investigation, in the 2nd floor.
